Scribus is a desktop page layout freeware program for Windows, Mac OS, Linux and a whole bunch of other operating systems. It can be used to create your ebooks and export to popular format such as PDF. Scribus has evolved from 2001 into one of the premier Open Source desktop applications. It is described as “one of the most powerful and useful open-source projects out there” (TechRepublic).
It supports professional publishing features, such as CMYK colors, spot colors, ICC color management and versatile PDF creation.
